Who I AM ?
mY Mission
I am Aditya Pal, a dedicated conservation biologist hailing from Nepal. My academic journey led me to obtain a master’s in Zoology, specializing in Ecology and Wildlife, from the esteemed Central Department of Zoology at Tribhuvan University.
Throughout my academic tenure, my fascination for wildlife and my passion for photography and birding burgeoned. As time progressed, my ardor for avian life intensified, propelling me toward a focused exploration of bird species.
My research endeavors culminated in a study centered on investigating the impact of water level fluctuations on bird community dynamics within the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in Nepal.
Professionally, my interests gravitate towards remote sensing and habitat modeling, particularly concerning avian populations. I possess a profound affinity for IT and technology, often channeling this passion into website development. In my projects, I enjoy synergizing wildlife conservation efforts with technological advancements.
Presently, I am engrossed in two significant passion projects: Wild Chapter and The Ornithology. Through these platforms, I endeavor to curate informative content tailored for students, researchers, and fellow wildlife enthusiasts. My career in wildlife conservation has been punctuated by myriad challenges, particularly in mastering essential tools such as R, Statistics, and GIS. However, these obstacles have only served to fortify my resolve and deepen my expertise in the field.
Extraordinary Experiences
As a conservation biologist with over six years of field experience, I have traversed Nepal’s diverse landscapes, from the towering peaks of mountains to the tranquil plains. I am dedicated to exploring and studying wildlife, with a particular focus on avian species.
Having been born and raised in the lowlands of Nepal, specifically in Janakpur, I am deeply committed to documenting and conserving the rich birds and overall biodiversity of the region while also intertwining this conservation effort with the cultural fabric of the area, notably the tradition of Shama Chakewa.
Throughout my journey, I have not only conducted research myself but have also imparted knowledge and skills to fellow enthusiasts and researchers. By training individuals interested in studying birds, mammals, and the broader flora and fauna, I aim to empower others to contribute meaningfully to conservation efforts.
Through various online platforms such as my website and YouTube channel, I strive to bridge the gap between science and the public, inspiring people to develop a closer connection with nature and fostering appreciation for its beauty and importance.
